Heathrow (LHR) is the UK's busiest airport and long-haul hub, with four active terminals: T2 (Star Alliance), T3 (Oneworld short-haul plus Virgin, Emirates and Delta), T4 (SkyTeam plus Qatar and Etihad) and T5 (British Airways and Iberia).

Pick-up & drop-off zones
Terminals: T2, T3, T4 and T5.
T2 — Short Stay Car Park 2 (pre-booked)
Pre-booked private hire for T2 meets on Level 3 of Short Stay Car Park 2, directly opposite arrivals via a step-free covered walkway. First 30 minutes free with ANPR plate recognition.
T3 — Short Stay Car Park 3 (pre-booked)
T3 pre-booked pick-up uses Level 3 of Short Stay Car Park 3, a 3-minute covered walk from arrivals. Same 30-minute free window at the exit barrier.
T4 — Short Stay Car Park (pre-booked)
T4 pre-booked drivers wait in the Short Stay car park directly outside the terminal. Compact and step-free from arrivals.
T5 — Short Stay Car Park (pre-booked)
T5 uses the Short Stay car park connected to arrivals by a covered walkway; drivers meet on Level 3.
Taxi rank (black cabs)
London black cabs are on the rank at every terminal — a convenient (but not cheapest) option to central London.
Forecourt drop-off (£5 / 10 min)
Kerbside drop-off directly outside each terminal is £5 for up to 10 minutes, paid by card / contactless at the exit ANPR barrier. Free drop-off is available at the Long Stay car parks with 30 minutes free and a free shuttle to the terminal.
Meeting your driver (arrivals)
- Clear UK Border Force and collect luggage in the baggage hall for your terminal.
- Follow signs to Arrivals and take the covered walkway to the correct Short Stay car park for your terminal (see above).
- Take the lift to Level 3 — your driver will text you the bay number once your flight is on stand.
- For meet-and-greet (+£25) the driver waits inside arrivals with a name board, ideal for long-haul arrivals or connecting travellers.
Being dropped off
- Ask your driver to use the forecourt drop-off zone (£5, up to 10 minutes) directly outside your terminal.
- If you need more time or step-free unloading, choose the Long Stay car park (30 minutes free) with a free shuttle to the terminal.
- Payment for the drop-off charge is card / contactless at the exit ANPR barrier — cash is not accepted.
